T&J Travels #9: Kuala Lumpur & Melaka 2017 (Part 8)

+ KL Tower +

Even though it's already our neighbor, we were instructed to wait for the shuttle that takes tourists to the top. Talk about convenience. It's free anyway so why not wait for a while. When we arrived and went to the 2nd floor there was a bit of confusion on which line we should go. It's a bit cramped there so better start asking once you arrive.

We were supposed to see the attractions outside first before going up the tower but the one who assists totally blanked out with our request via the cashier that the moment our tickets were spewed out, she proactively took it from the counter and briskly walked us towards the gates.

So now we had no choice but follow the rest of the visitors. Our first stop was at the observatory. It's a 360 view of KL but behind a glass. I tried to take photos there but the glass reflects us and the light from the souvenir shelves. There's probably a good setting for this but I'm nowhere near a pro.

When we've done the rounds we preceded to the topmost floor available for visitors. It's technically the same but without the glass. The evening breeze here is as equally wonderful as the view. We can't do the 360 again because there are two sides that cater to the glass cage photo op.

If you've paid for that too, know that there are two lines. Just look for the one with the least people. If I've known that it will take that long, I should have dragged Reagan upstairs as soon as we arrived. It didn't help that our line was hogged by a family who can't seem to take a hint. They took their time disregarding the rest of us waiting that the family in front of us went ballistic to the marshals who tolerated that behavior. I wished I know how to speak their language because it did seem they were already insulting said family who didn't want to get off.

When it was their turn we realized how we hoped we had a selfie stick. It was hard to take photos plus the lighting isn't good at all. We got at least 3 shots and rushed going down to visit one of the attractions outside that is still open.

It's a cute house and you go there just for the novelty of it. I liked that the time we got inside we're the first to have arrived so we were able to have decent photos with just us. Would be great if you have kids. Also don't forget you need to be in barefoot or with socks to get inside.

Entrance Fee: 42MYR (for two)

The night is not yet done though. There are no available restaurants open when we went out but there's one popular place we could go go to. The famous Alar Food Night Market.
