+ Stadthuys (Red Square) +

Christ Church, the Muzium Sejarah dan Ethnografi and the Clocktower are right on that square. Christ Church even if it's currently under renovation (?) is still open even if the front doors aren't. There's a small door on the left where you could go in for free. They do take donations if you wish.

It's a quaint one. It's a bit hard to take photos around especially that people love to take the altar for their own. Interior is small so it would certainly be much crowded at it's peak. When we were about to leave there were even more coming in.

There's an upper deck outside where you could take a photo of the entire square. It's very much an ideal post but that area is congested with selfie addicts. All the time Reagan and I just kept nudging at each other to all of them, giggling on the side.

The Museum was next. It's a large complex. There were a lot of exhibits inside so it's easy to lose track of time. I also found it funny when in paying for the entrance fees we were charged a foreigner's rate. I just realized that at this part of the world, WE were the foreigners.

+ Lunch at Famosa Chicken Rice Ball (Jonker Walk) +

IMG_0728

It's only the second day but I found myself hating chicken. It's unfortunate because the place is peppered with chicken balls we never tried. And even if it's past lunch time it was hard for us to get anything to sit down to eat. We just went to the first one that allowed us in. We got pork which was enough for us two. I also had a mango shake that tasted bland. What's good with this restaurant is they served our orders really quick!

+ Baba Nyonya +

IMG_0718.jpg

We have just arrived on time for the 2PM schedule. Photos are only confined at the lobby area where all the guests are confined which is unfortunate because I would have loved a keepsake from our trip. The story telling is engaging even though I had to adjust my stupidly deaf ears on a different accent. While we are all about Fil-Ams, Fil-Japs, Fil-whatever, Malaysia has Baba Nyonya. It's a bit pricey but the cultural knowledge gained is so much worth it.

+ Street Food! +

Not much but we were able to eat small ones, like the freshly made peanut tikoy (don't know what it's called there) and some puffs filled with yam and sweet potato.

We've seen an extremely huge empanada like bread (Curry Chicken Bun) which looked delicious but I don't think we could finish it nor take it home (too early for a souvenir). When we're done we walked to the path that will lead us to St. Peter's Hill.
