Not a Book Review of A Brave New World and 2015 Nonsense

Image
Yes this is not. I just want to vent out my frustrations on why I can't finish this book. Early this year, I had the ff. on my tasks: 1. Lose Weight (lame attempts) 2. Post anything in a month 3. Learn a new language (after my short lived Nihongo classes) 4. Read a book each month (so far so good....or so I think) 5. Travel more! Losing Weight I attempted gym and boxing and have lost interest in that for now. Gym, (I haven't renewed membership) was OK for a while (I even have a gym buddy) but I'm trying to replenish funds for now so that has to wait. Boxing was awesome, I felt like I'm getting stronger but I can't find a better coach, (left for vacation and ended up working overseas) and the one he left was too strong for me. I swear I would end up having injuries if I kept it up. So what happened now is me doing this diet thing. I'm on my 2nd week (1500 calories) and so far so good. As of writing I wanted to eat chocolate and Tortillos with salsa b

Yay New Theme!

Nothing to read here. Go away :-D

Paint the town green w/ The Script (04.17.2015)

Days before I have told Reagan that I would wear green to the concert because one of their songs highlighted the said color. He teased me that the song I thought of would not be played so I looked for the setlist and learned that the first song, as I've predicted would be Paint the Town Green. We came there just in time when Silent Sanctuary was over (we had an abominable dinner earlier upstairs) and a few minutes before poles of green cloth appeared by the cockpit entrance. It's apt since the song really does sound Irish in so many levels, I could only be more excited! But then it was ruined when the band came in, everyone started standing on their seats blocking my view and everyone else's who didn't follow suit. Reagan insisted that I do the same but I couldn't... I don't have the heart to put my dirty shoes on the soft seats. I tried for a minute but it seemed so wrong. I took the attention of the girl in front of me, and she did look, but never budg

T&J Travels #1: Corregidor (Apr. 4-5, 2014) (Part 2)

The Malinta Light Show wrapped up early (inspite of travelling the entire island the entire day) but as told and teased, we planned to get the 250 php (per person) tour. It includes: Tour starts around 5PM 1. Sunset Viewing 2. Hospital Visit 3. Malinta Tunnel aka Ghost Hunting -NEXT DAY- 4. Sunrise Viewing 5. Early Hike to Japanese tunnel I slept for a while to regain strength for the night tour and woke up hungry. We ordered spaghetti, which is already good for two and two plates of churros. I wasn't able to finish my plate and the rest the next day. Spaghetti is okay (Pinoy version, reeally sweet) but the sauce is too runny for my taste. We both enjoyed the churros especially the crispy bits. The EveningTour Going to the tail, we have enough time to visit the old hospital that was bombarded by the Japanese back in the day. We learned that as war goes, hospitals, orphanages and the likes are supposed to be spared. The Japanese can't even cl

Hooray! Thank heavens, we're now travelling! I don't know what have made le bf finally agree, but yay finally! For our first ever trip, we've decided to go to the nearest tourist vacation spot near the Metro: Corregidor. We would have gone the Baguio route like most couples on their first out of town vacation would, but I didn't bother suggesting it since that's a holy week and city dwellers practically move there at that time. Research Time We've done a really quick research and have found that the most convenient, quickest, safest and possibly the cheapest way to go there was via SunCruises . Based on what we've found, Corregidor island is under the monopoly of Sun Cruises (they are also responsible for the Manila Bay Cruises) so there's no other form of cruise en route. Unless of course you count the private bancas that can take you there which is really expensive* especially if there's just two of us. Prices can start for 4k up. I was abl

Lash-ting Impressions @ Stylash (3.29.2015)

Hair done. Nails done. Now I'm onto the last part of my #AngLandiLandiKoProject-- lashes. Lately I've been really happy with my ELF lash curler that worked really effectively on my eyelashes even without a mascara, but there came an opening near my place of Stylash. Call it peer pressure, or the innate weakness of women upon hearing the word discount, it made me really willing to try. I haven't had fake lashes on me semi permanently but I do remember using some from my wedding attendance makeups. So anyways, the sale was for a 50% discount so I got the most expensive one because I'm a sucker that way. I chose Full Diva (1600 srp, 800 for this visit), J Shaped. Full Diva, because it's 300 mink lashes (half on each eye), and J Shaped because I don't want it to be really curly (C Shaped). I was told that the session would last about an hour. I was the fourth to be serviced (no need to wait, I was really next when I came) and was assisted to lie down. I was t
