TIB: No to Coastal Grand Terminal!

Image
If it weren't for constant fatigue due to more than 4 hours of commute everyday, I wouldn't have had decided to rent.  If I haven't rented, I may have been in that photo above.  If I was on the photo above, I may have ranted earlier :-D I have only seen it on the news and I was saddened at my fellow Caviteños who have to suffer this chaos early in the morning, IN THE RAIN for Pete's sake. They were oblivious on what to do, they may have paid more than they should that day, most of them late and tired and hungry and drenching in sweat and rain. I was lucky to be free of that but it doesn't change how I felt about this so called change. I understand the need for a new traffic scheme but this is just drastic, careless and anti-commuter. What MMDA thought of as convenience for the Metro, is not so to the mass of people from Cavite who study and work there. I know, I've been there. And I experience it now when I go to and  fro Cavite in Sunda...

TIB: Tell a Pinoy He's Cunning And He'd Thank You For The Compliment

Image
I was eating my dinner late in the night when I saw the news how the tickets for Lebron's tour were finally released. I remembered reading an article last Monday and was not surprised that the line have expounded greatly. On said news, they've interviewed people in different forms of life. Some didn't go to work/school while some even came from faraway provinces just to queue for a ticket that would make them see Lebron for free. Yes, for free. I remembered how the pre-game earlier this year was filled with complaints on the pricing so getting a chance to see a celebrity basketball player FOR FREE would obviously rake in multitudes. I kind of felt happy for them, to each is for his own, until by the end of the news, they've screen grabbed advertisements online of how those said FREE tickets are now sold for 2500, to 10.000 for 4 tickets. I wanted to throw my dinner at the tv at that point. What?!! Are you effing kidding me? If someone posts free tickets for s...

TIB: Kris Aquino for Governor (?)

Image
Wait what? That was probably the hardest line I've ever typed today. Kris Aquino for Tarlac Governor. Wait, I need water. Okay, here it goes. First of, I'm not from Tarlac so I couldn't care less, I mean, Cavite's my hometown for a long time already (though I rarely visit anymore) and (whispers) there's a lot of things needed to be fixed there too, but you know those big fires that started from a single candle light, a small firecracker, or, or!! A cigarette butt that more often than not, cause headline type of fires? Yeah. That's the best metaphor I can come up with. And I don't know about you but it's really scary. Philippine politics has been the longest soap opera we've been forced to deal with for our entire lives and here's a new cast who will totally be the icing of the cake, like in a bad way. I'm trying to be rational about this, like well, let's just try to forget the scandals for a moment here. Nope. Not possib...

TIB: Carless Boyfriend Anyone?

Image
I don't usually listen to radio stations but whenever I feel sleepy during OT I try to listen to whatever. Tonight's topic at magic was for me superficial at it's best: will you date a guy with no car? What's even more surprising is how some girls REALLY said it matters. I was rolling my eyes all,the time the 'boys' laid out the, topic and I was wondering how could this be a topic in the first place? Why am I listening to this?! First caller said yes. I was almost certain I'd be violent when I'm anywhere near her physically. How can a car be a gauge to dating anyone? To show off to friends? The hell, I bet those boys won't even have cars if it weren't from their parents! Hello? You are just a college student dang it. You can't even afford it without your daddykins. Like, well, uh, you know? Tell me more how you found the love of your life because of his car. Ah wait, His car His dad bought him. Tell me more about how responsible ...

TIB: For the cost of Evian Water I Can...

Image
I was checked in on a hotel the other day (will blog them sometime) and grabbed an Evian bottled water by mistake. I was already drinking it half way through when I saw my image on the mirror holding a bottle I told myself would never dare try. I forgot the price I saw on the grocery once, and seeing how hotels reprice it really high, I took the price list card on the table with shaking hands. Reading it, I just convinced myself that I misplaced my 240 pesos*. Because for 240 pesos I can... ...watch a regular movie at Resorts world plus two bottles of RW packaged water. ( can't find photos of the bottled water and i'm too lazy to find where I kept it) ...Eat at a buffet. There are so many below 300 eat all you can buffets in Manila that spending your 200php on a 500ml of water is simply incomparable. You even get a change! TIB: Megatent September Sale 9.4.11

Image
This is going to be short. I will just rant on a simple event that happened today. I have managed to turn away from sales for as long as I can muster (probably a few months) but since our youngest sister was in need of some new clothes (they have a new school policy of semi-formal during Wednesdays which here wardrobe lacks terribly of) so I thought that this will be a good alibi. So we went, shopped, and reduced my current accounts to something something pesos (my sisters were so excited they get to buy too much stuff—to the dismay of my wallet of course). I was growing tired of the place since there were only a small number of exhibitors (this is compared to the one I went to last year in MOA) and totally dampen my want to shop. So after the fifth time we went around, and was sick seeing the same old stuff all the time, I urged them to call it a day and retreat at Mega to wait for our father. But before we got out, we were held up by the guards of the tent asking us to show ...

TIB: I won't be in yellow tomorrow

Image
What do I know of People Power anyway? My parents haven't even made me yet in Feb 1986. If we do the numbers I won't even be in my mom's belly not until April. Yeah, yeah, freedom. The power to watch anything. Listen to anything. Write anything. Be anytime, anywhere I want. All the things I could ever want some countries could only hear and dream of having. All within my reach. But then, I'm not the only one who has it. That guy who composes ear piercing third rate songs have it too. That student who goes on partying all night instead of study have it too. That teacher who instead of learning lessons have more time updating their status in FB or finding the next password to a porn site have it too. That politician who brazenly campaigns himself every election day with no real purpose have it too. That actress who did nothing but force everyone in her life have it too. That unemployed mugger have it too. That drug addict have it too. All of us have th...

TIB: Stupid Facebook Dilemma of the Day

"Do I add the friend of the ex of my boyfriend?" -- heard in a bus from a girl caller in a local radio station That's why I don't join Facebook.

LG: We came, we saw, we were fooled. (11.13.10)

Image
Dear LG, Hello. I wanted to thank you how you ruined my date last Saturday. Imagine, 4 hours of our date was spent sitting on those hard steps of SM Megamall. We even ate lunch at a takeout from a fastfood joint which we haven't done for the past months of dating not until today. That mother who was complaining how she can't leave the line to eat and her blood sugar were down must be also thankful. I wonder if you rushed her to the hospital in courtesy. Thank you for bringing our hopes up that no matter how long the line is, for as long as we are IN THE LINE from 2-3 we atleast will get something from you. For all we know you only went to as far as giving out stubs to less than a 100 people. And those people who are so fortunate to get in are either your parents, friends, sales ladies or fitness first employees. The rest of us are left to be told that 'please stay on the line, WE MAY BE ABLE TO DO AN EXTENSION' (yes, this statement was from this LG girl in black ...

When is rape, rape? (09.20.10)

Image
There was this news last week about this 12 year old girl, wickedly nicknamed Charice (a bit awkward I was about to use that name as title but thought twice about it so didn't bother) who was supposedly hired for a 'date' by the Mayor of Zambales. According to reports, her mom and a few police caught them, not in act (that would be so gross seeing your kid with an old guy) but when they got out of the room, to their much surprise. It was also said that a gay pimp made the deal between the two and the mom intends to file a case for both. She, and DSWD calls this as rape since we are talking about a minor here but somehow this is really awkward and weird of a rape case if you ask me. For one, if the gay pimped Charice, clearly our victim knows what the hell she is expected to do. Why the pimp have a hold of her number and why Charice even agreed to this 'job' is questionable. If we intend to be all optimistic about the innocence of our victim, we might as well im...

Do you think I'm pretty? (9.11.9)

Image
Weeks ago, while watching a show for stand-up comedians, there was this fat contestant, (notice I said she was fat, for you to get the point) that she said that in summer time she usually just hides in her house, away from the beach where skinny girls in their skimpy outfits are aplenty. But when it gets cold that is when she goes boy-hunting because ‘those skinny girls would eventually have to wear something’. She also added, ‘what would they do then, talk?’ then everyone laughs. It’s a lot more like a blonde joke, but what she just said encompasses everyone especially those who don’t see that funny because they are the epitome of it. Face it. Rare is it would you find anyone who is basically good looking and brainy at the same time. Usually it’s just one of those. There are, however, a lot of trying hard-to-be-smart types who doesn’t seem to realize they are only making a fun of themselves when they open their mouth and it’s not even close to funny. Forgive me for bringing...

I Just Wrote Something for Mr. Jackson and It's a Bit Late. (7.4.9)

As a self-proclaimed blogger (I don't even know if I have to) I think I owe it to myself that I, atleast, like most who writes online, write something with a current issue. Bloggers are obviously, people who does not simply say 'yes' or 'no' but they are those who aren't afraid to speak out their own opinions. But if we are talking 'current' this isn't anything at all, and I'm afraid I'd write a little bit too late. I know Ed won't see it as such but I know that most people shrug off posts that aren't posted on time. Oh what the heck. I'd quote Ed again 'my blog, my rules'. So there you go. I know Usher and Justin Timberlake are both MJ fans. I'm not sure if Britney is too but I'm 50% sure she is. I'm saying this because of two things: 1. They are the people I grew up listening to back on their days, meaning the closest ones who share Michael's influence, and 2. They see MJ as a pop icon, and the masses do...

For Public Use Only

Image
note: uhm di pa po to tapos. but this article i wrote was ages ago. I thought I should do myself a favor and post it na lang. waheheh... apologies...
