I don't know why I have gotten it wrong. We're supposed to be going to the reclining Buddha (Nanzoin Temple) and have instead gone to a different place, Dazaifu Tenmangu. I really thought it was the same place. We didn't get to explore the entire area though because of reasons I forgot but maybe because it would make us do bus trips around. We can't walk because of intermittent rain, I mean, getting sick around this time is unacceptable. But even if the trip was a bit short, it's fine for me. It was after all free! + Dazaifu Tenmangu + It's very easy to reach because it's next to the train station.  This place reminded me a lot of the same layout as Sensoji Temple at Asakusa but larger and spacious in between stalls. Let's face it. Fukuoka has something to offer, but not as much as the rest of more popular destinations like Tokyo or Osaka. Which is why the next day we had to take a long train ride OUT of Fukuoka and to Oita prefecture, the land of hot springs.   + Hells of Beppu + From the train station we looked (as advised by the information) for the tourist center. I could not remember what our original plan for today was but Rochelle is quite eager to see penguins. Again, not a fan of buses but that is the only way to reach it. We had to pester a local to help us get to the right bus. Google Maps is not that helpful at this moment.
