+ Taipei Zoo + I love that they have a train station near it so it's truly easy to navigate. We got there too early though because we spent some time before getting in. I thought we could have breakfast anywhere but we can't see any shops near. When people started standing on the kiosks we did the same and waited once we're allowed to buy tickets. For a zoo, it's surprisingly not too smelly. I like visiting zoos but not as much because of the smell. Possibly because of the weather but the nose situation is excellent. The map does not do it justice. It's freaking huge. They even have a shuttle to get you to the edge. I think we were able to see almost everything except for that brown bear that didn't show up. The rest is just good. You could burn a day here with kids and I would assure you they'd love it, there's just so many animals. It's like(literally) the hotter version of the Cloud Forest at Singapore  Price: 60 NTD ...

+ Shifen Waterfall Park + It was still cloudy, a bit humid but still tolerable. From our drop off point the waterfall was quite far. We had to walk through a couple of hanging bridges which is an experience by itself. These are wide enough to hold a lot of people but man, when it swings, IT SWINGS. I think I had a bit of motion sickness going on that I had to stop a couple of times when it moves a bit violently than I believe it should. If you're drunk I don't think you can make it at all! We thought there weren't much tourists until we reached the spot where everyone is! There's also a lot of food options but since we can't stay too long, we were only able to get a few food and souvenirs. We also didn't attempt to take a close up photo of the waterfall because the viewing decks are full and does not look like it would empty any time soon. Since we're travelling with a senior, I thought it best that we book a private car for the four of us. Tour bus is another option but I felt like we have more control of our time if we do it "solo". We booked the one from Klook which had a set itinerary we can choose. It's a bit expensive but what the heck.  + Jiufen Old Street + It was a cloudy day with a bit of showers here and there, which is the better option than extremely sunny. We left early and arrived at Jiufen with just a little bit of people at first so we were able to roam around while trying out different delicacies they offer all around. It's funny that they're so used to tourists by now that they call customers over in varying languages and Tagalog one of them too! Speaking of seniors Jiufen is really hilly and the pavement is a bit hard on the feet so make sure to get them really comfortable shoes and clothes. Since there would be 4 of us on this trip it was hard to look for a place that can easily accommodate four people, with ample space for all and won't break the bank. Which is why when I found this gem I booked it as quickly as possible. + Kingshi Hotel + Kingshi is situated in Ximen. Most hotels are located around here and most fitting too because you would not run out of places to shop. It's location is also convenient since the subway is not too far from here.We didn't have any problems reaching out the spots we would like to go. It was easy to locate Kingshi. However, there were no reception areas at the ground floor, just a cramped elevator. Thankfully it's not a busy weekend because when the four of us are on it, there's barely space for one more person. And obviously we had to take the lift because the reception is on the 7th floor! My mom's requesting an out of the country trip for her 60th birthday and somehow we ended up in booking a trip to Taiwan!  + Pre-flight jitters + I haven't traveled out of the country without the bf so I'm so anxious in doing this trip.
