Hotel Reviews: Alpha Suites Makati

I convinced Reagan that  Bianca's  show would take us all night so might as well find a place to stay. I can't find anywhere exactly near Circuit so I was glad to have seen one that is near his work and Circuit as well that didn't look so shady. Technically it's a serviced apartment and boy oh boy we were thrilled once we opened the door. We were able to check-in around noon ( so that we can still continue working ) and even though it was good in photos, we loved it more once we're in.  The room is around 60++ sqm and dare I say they utilized the space extremely well. I even commented that if they were able to achieve that kind of layout for just 60sqm why not in our own house as well, right?!  It's spacious, there are a lot of storage spaces, appliances that can be used. Reagan even remarked if we can live there instead lols. Their kitchen is filled with all the housing tools you would ever need. They have all the appliances there, I mean you can even bake a ca...

CAVITE DIARIES: Nurture Wellness Village (06.12.2022)

I think our life now involves a weekend in Tagaytay since it's the closest we can go to where it's easier for us to come home after. I was mulling in grabbing a 3 day stay BUT I'm still iffy leaving our house unattended for that long and not to mention the landscaped plants outside of the house, who would water them?! We eventually decided the last minute (this is almost literal) to just book a place for overnight for our upcoming Anniversary on Tuesday. My office is on a holiday on the 13th so we thought maybe we could celebrate earlier than on Tuesday so I don't need to file for an absence.  + The Booking + Saturday night Reagan found Nurture Wellness Village . I told him I've been there before with my family but as I would witness firsthand it has changed a lot (to be fair we went there 2016 pa) . He tried calling all the numbers and eventually PM'd them via FB . Their replies are very slim and the night came and went, they still haven't replied to him th...

T&J Weds: It's done!

We're now officially married! Last Monday, June 14 we've went to the Las Pinas City hall and we've finally tied the knot via an intimate ceremony in front of a judge. When we said intimate, it's just us really, a judge and two witnesses who are the judge's staff. We could have gone without any witness at all but since it's required to have them, we decided to get the people there instead of having any of our family members to limit the contact with other people. Moreover, this ensures that no one would feel left out because.. everyone is.  + Hol up, let's start from the beginning + Prior to the event I was contemplating whether I should get someone to do my makeup and hair but then Reagan have an excellent point, Since I'm wearing a mask, there's no need to spend money over something no one would see. Which is why I had to wake up extremely early to DIY myself: have my hair curled and have my face with the most minimum thing I (think I) can do. I bar...

Taiwan 2019 Part 2

Since there would be 4 of us on this trip it was hard to look for a place that can easily accommodate four people, with ample space for all and won't break the bank. Which is why when I found this gem I booked it as quickly as possible. + Kingshi Hotel + Kingshi is situated in Ximen. Most hotels are located around here and most fitting too because you would not run out of places to shop. It's location is also convenient since the subway is not too far from here.We didn't have any problems reaching out the spots we would like to go. It was easy to locate Kingshi. However, there were no reception areas at the ground floor, just a cramped elevator. Thankfully it's not a busy weekend because when the four of us are on it, there's barely space for one more person. And obviously we had to take the lift because the reception is on the 7th floor! We booked the family room somewhere in the 7th but they've moved us to the 9th. It was bigge...

T&J Travels #13: Hong Kong 2019 (Part 1)

Basically this trip was born out of spontaneity. The moment I saw the Van Gogh Alive! ad on my feed and how it's barely weeks till it leaves HK I immediately asked the bf if it's OK for us to go and wouldn't you know it he agreed! I think I've already ticked the top destinations on my previous trips as far as I'm aware so we are not pressed into doing a stringent IT this time.   + DAY 1 + I incorrectly booked our Grab to take us to Terminal 3 Bay 1 when it was supposed to be Terminal 1. We were already in line at the tax payments when we learnt this, where we were only told we are on the wrong terminal. My anxious planning sort of paid of because we were there 3 hours earlier, enough time to get another Grab to Terminal 1,  queue getting IN the airport, queue for ages at the Hong Kong Airlines check in counter only to find out we still need to pay taxes (in all fairness the one at Terminal 3 already said we're good) and queue for the third time. ...
