T&J Travels #7: Singapore 2016 (Part 4)

+ Helix Bridge and the Wafer Ice Cream Guy +

We got ourselves a bit lost on the way back from Vivo, going back and forth at the malls finding our way out. We eventually found it at The Shoppes, in which if my feet weren't so tired of walking the entire day we would have stopped over the marked down sales my eyes kept on seeing. Finally, the lights are on tonight.

At the end of the tunnel, we found a group of people forming around a guy with a cart, and there it was wafer ice cream. It wasn't in our plans but thank goodness he was there. We could really use something sweet!

Most of the flavors weren't available but we'd manage to get ourselves some before the line went longer.

+ Singapore Flyer +

Getting the delayed flight allowed us to move our day much later than usual which provided us with enough time to add more things on the list the next day. One of which was the Flyer which we should have done the first night we arrived.

Since the coaches are large, it is practically impossible to prevent other groups of people on it. We were lucky that morning to be in a line mostly by Japanese hence, they're proper and not loud.

The view is definitely something to behold, seeing all the structures and places we've been for the past couple of days. I liked that on top of that I don't see any dilapidated buildings that stick like sore thumbs on a city that had impressed me so far.

+ National Museum of Singapore +

After checking out, we walked to the National Museum. There are more museums within the area but we figured to go here first especially that we've been walking past here every night on our way back to the hotel.

It is very convenient that they have lockers here as well, most especially something big enough to hold our luggage.

Other than the modern installations, we did learn a thing or two about the history of Singapore, definitely worth time we spent. It's so good in fact that we see ourselves visiting this for another time when new exhibits are on display. But alas, we had to we had to speed everything up just so we could make it on time to the airport-- which was surprisingly on time.

I'm eyeing next time the night safari and probably some bit of shopping. I really loved how I saved money from the moisturizers I bought and plan to bring home more. And probably a gadget too. I would have to start checking prices here to be sure. :-)
