SNAP: BPI Express Credit Card: Ridiculously fast.

Image
I did say before how I try my best to stay credit card free except for my trusty eprepaid card . What ended that promise and what bothers me now is how I got one in the first place. This is seriously weird, and fast at the same time... and I haven't even applied to them!! Tuesday. Received a call from BPI That I am eligible for a card. The only thing they ever asked was where I was working. After that I was told that they'd be sending my card anytime soon. Friday. Text from BPI saying my card was approved. What? Saturday. Noon. I received my card (LBC) with a credit limit far from the 10k limit I was prepared for. If I want something more than that I will pay in cash but never in credit.  Why do they have to give me this tempting limit at all?! Why?! So what just happened anyway? Monday-Tuesday I was in contact with a Citibank person after a referral of an officemate. Thursday they called the house and so far not anything from them yet. The mysterious t...

TFT: Why the Philippines need more people with OCD

Image
shh... you're just what we need... 1. It will be a whole lot cleaner One of the many irks of a majority of those with OCD could not stand anything dirty. I bet that if you show them those jet black esteros and heaps of filthy and UNSORTED trash, they'd go crazy barking orders just to clean that up. And who would take No Littering much more seriously than they would?! 2. EDSA will have the best line of buses EVAR. They'd make sure the buses coordinate properly, follow which 'lines' they should be in, heck they'd even have them color coordinated! Imagine all buses going to Ayala in a distinguished color of Green. How about Blue for Cubao? Aahhh. Not only will it be pleasing to the eyes but the bus conductor waving a Cubao sign yelling Cubao Cubao Cubao no need to respond to the idiot passenger who asks, 'Boss, Cubao?' 3. The roads will have no pot holes, all the lights work and the filthy color of smog on infrastructures. Hate ...

The Hobbyt: Scrapbook Finds

Image
Kind of missed this from last time. Cute small envelopes you can use on you scrap/smash books. The colored ones can be found at National Bookstore sold in 6 pcs per pack. The brown one is from Clipper that's a notepad that can be converted to envelopes by simply closing the folds. The brown color adds to the feel of a real envelope. Hope I can find tiny stamps for these too!

COMS: Tous Le Jours Chocolate Cake

Image
As my name suggests, I somehow have a love affair with bakeries, particularly those that are new. Lately I've found myself sniffing to different branches (In a span of 1 month, I've already been to ATC, Southmall and MoA branches. ) of Tous Le Jours hoping to find a favorite. For breads they have stirred away from Breadtalk type of Breads (I swear a non Breadtalk bakery is in EDSA Shang that bakes the exact type of breads from Breadtalk) and have more savory type of breads. My most favorite being the one with curry inside and the vegetable croquette Reagan has recommended. Macaroons are also offered and it was just plain for my taste. I need more samples from other shops to compare. Last year too, I was also able to get the perfect alibi to buy a cake which for my sister. It was surprising that dedications are allowed (as you can see from the cake, it's written on a cookie like design). I also liked how we are provided with candles and a knife (Secret Rec...

TME: Getting your NBI Clearance Easy

Image
UPDATE (10/25/2013) As I've visited their site , GCASH won't be a form of payment for them from now on. You may now choose to leave this link as it is now obsolete as of this writing. I may try to write the different mode of payment in the near future. UPDATE(13/01/2014) Here's the new, updated and lazier version  < this is clickable just so you know. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I will not explain the full details, but me and my office mates regularly need an NBI Clearance. It's one of my most hated moments because it is so time consuming. Yes the process is as fast as they can make it, but you only need to see the extremely long queue to give up getting one during lunch break. So, when one of our office mates found a fast track option a whole lot of us instantly grabbed the chance. There are about 3 steps in getting an NBI clearance (payment, encoding, picture taking) and all involves different sets of queues and wh...

Closing Other Blogs

So I have now decided to close down the other 3 blogs that I have and have them all in this one blog. Why you say? Well I figured that although having them segregated into different blogs is nice since they're all in one 'folder' it is just stressful going to and fro different blogs at a time. I also think that piling up all the blogs together can add their stats together. Plus, it won't clutter if I only use the right tags :-D This is also in line with uploading my old stuff from multiply and be transferred here since they have removed the social media part there so they can focus their resources to being a marketplace. Thanks Ed for giving me the idea! I'm about to try it now :-D
