T&J Travels #3: Bohol 2015 (Part 1)

Image
It's our first trip out of Luzon! We have not prepared again so we planned this out of haste. It would have been on the APEC week but then again we cannot find a flight out of that week. So anyhow, we've decided to go to Bohol! + First Flight Out + It's really unfortunate that we weren't able to sit next to each other. We both got window seats but my lack sense of judgement that time made us not be seatmates, but me giving my seat to a somewhat obnoxious flyer. All she did was take selfies, exclaim praises, use her phone every single time we were told to turn it off, take more photos of her stuff with her shades, amongst others. It was a really bad call. + Meet Lito! + I haven't asked around much but an office mate of mine convinced us to get a tour guide of sorts because the attractions around Bohol are too far apart, it will only be for our convenience. We got a countryside tour for both Bohol and Panglao in just one day for merely 2100 php for both of us. At firs...

Future Hobby/Collection : Re-ment Collectables

Image
I am no newbie when it comes to miniatures. There are those small kits I found at Alabang, finished one and another still untouched. I loved making those tiny sofas and books, setting up wallpaper and such. It's enough to make a long weekend fruitful. follow the link in Amazon: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Dollhouse-Miniature-DIY-Kit-with-Cover-and-LED-Wood-Toy-dolls-house-room-/261915992610 So I recently subscribed at this page forwarded by my sister: [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwhBsF5OoeA[/embed] After which my feed recommended me this channel: [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTQu2N5aK1A[/embed] I haven't heard of Re-ment before and was amazed at the detail the makers have put onto it. It looked so cute and as per description, really affordable. I took time to research on it and found that Toy Kingdom has it but is currently priced at the 300php++ mark, which is double from what I've converted it to. It's even worse when you get to see the price fro...

Flirt Waxing Lounge: Tiis Ganda Moment

Image
[caption id="attachment_2565" align="aligncenter" width="336"] beautyhows.com[/caption] Last Friday, I had, for the longest time of putting it off, tried a facial threading. I remembered having my brows threaded long years back from your 'ol trusty cheap salon where I got it for free because the stylist was bothered at how bushy mine was. At that time I barely felt it and thought that I could absolutely do it for another time. I've chosen facial threading. They said they would thread your entire face except for the brows. I opted for that later on but that is nothing compared to the facial threading. At first I was shocked at how painful it was. I'm absolutely hairy and it's undeniably tedious to clean my face. I was trying to concentrate on the ceiling, but my body gives away, I still tear up especially on the lip area. It was so painful I wasn't even halfway through the service I swear I almost told her to have me waxed instead. Sees...

Calligraphy: My Beginner Journey

Image
I have almost given up on this hobby when I realized that my hand is not as trusty as it was before. All those times I've been typing everyday at work definitely made my hand not cooperating with my wants especially in the writing department. But for some reason I've gone back to it, being the lazy sh*t that I am, just dedicated using my dining table and nothing else. I leave all the papers and inks, nibs, pen cleaner all laid out there, which made practice even easier. I even forgo cleaning my practice nib & holder JUST SO I won't be discouraged in cleaning up for later. It is a bad habit, I know. But it's the only way I wouldn't choose coloring over calligraphy before I go to sleep. When we went to Alessa's workshop , she imparted to us a lot of knowledge that I only began to appreciate when I stopped fooling around with my calligraphy and stopped being too frustrated. Here are a few Beginner's tips you always hear but do not believe on it yet. Hopeful...

My (Cheap) Kindle

Image
After a hearty lunch at Buffalo Wings (Capitol Commons branch), we were so full we just had to take a very long walk. We ended up going to HMR for some bit of aircon (ber month and it's still hot can you believe it?). I've been there before once and wasn't impressed. There are just too many items that are either dusty or broken or old that I can't appreciate what's with the fuss.  So anyway, I told the boyfriend I was thirsty so we dropped by at Tasty Tucker (oohhh they've renovated the place, it's now so posh!) for a quick drink. When we're done, he spotted the closed area for gadgets and suggested we look. I have nothing in mind at that time but my eye caught a box with a weird price. I asked to check the item and was obliged. OMG, that Kindle Paperwhite is so effin' cheap! I was told that they get regular shipments of this and the cautious me was finding everything so unreal, yet at the same time urgently agreed to buy the item and paid for it as ...

TME: The Script: For the First Time (4.16.11)

Image
For the first time I've paid for a concert. For the first time I set foot on the actual Araneta coliseum. For the first time I've seen a celebrity (-ies) I'm s o fond of. All because of The Script. I've only heard of the concert weeks before I've already set my budget for another concert I wanted to give as a gift to someone special (hihi!) so I was a bit disappointed to not have anticipated such expense and missed buying patron seats. I would have but I felt rushed on buying one ASAP so I bought what I can afford that time: Thank you whoever SM girl you are who informed me of a better seat (middle) Fast forward to April 16, since the concert was not until 8pm, we set the day to get ourselves busy before the big night. I won't elaborate it here. but to make it short, we were in Megamall that time when we decided to finally go to our last pit stop of the day. A quarter before 7 we were already in the MRT Ortigas Station but we were kind of stuck. All the trains t...
