Ate Lani? Whatever. (4.28.10)

For the sake of readers who hasn't experienced seeing Bacoor in all it's glory let me describe it to you. It is one of those places that when you have a choice you'd never like to live in. For starters there is the never-ending problem of flood. It's murky and dark and heaven knows what it is made up of. Basically yucky. Why? Because of those trash piling in creeks. Damn it. You can see it out of the window of whatever transportation you choose. There was even a time that when it poured a little rain and you can see how those little creeks overflow with that yucky water and garbage. And then there's the road. I have already mentioned this mythical road of Revilla on a photo blog before right? The one where he is so proud of. There is no such thing as a fixed road as he claims. Try commuting to and fro and you'd agree with me 100%. Okay so this is just what I see since I haven't seen the entire Bacoor PROVINCE much. All of which I said that is what any

Shopaholic Ties the Knot (4.26.10)

Rating: ★★★ Category: Books Genre: Entertainment Author: Sophie Kinsella The funniest by far and the most outrageous problem Becky got herself into. This is also the moment we have all waited for, a comeback for the cow (why does she have to call her that anyway?! I love cows!) Alicia and how Becky's life went when she decided to go off to New York on her own and do what she does best as a job. Shopping! There are also a lot of conflicts this time that she has resolved, like in Luke's case who is constantly pushing himself to the limits just to impress his ice queen of a mom. And then there is also Becky's NY designer buddy who can't finish a single outfit. Again there is this mushy part near the ending which is something that I am not really looking forward to. I imagine the next book would be set 2 or years later as I think it says something about a baby. Now that I have to read too.

A Direct Hit for us Indies (ouch?) (4.20.10)

So I got this email from Jin with the subject (roughly translated to) "Get ready to be pissed". What he did was send me a link of a blog: http://pinoy-comics-tv-movies. blogspot.com/2010/02/whats- wrong-with-current-rp-indie- comic.html I was reading the entry with all the pictures of comic stands in Canada and wondered where is the part about becoming annoyed-- that is, until I got to the paragraph where the author was saying that he (she, have no idea), would be posting anonymous comments regarding indies. So that's us I think. I searched for our group, Salimpusa and there it was, reviewed alongside Mark 9 verse 47 (Meganon). Well, obviously it SHOULD hurt. Jin was annoyed afterall. I should be too but I can't find myself to be. I don't really know why is that but I have points I would like to share here: 1. My whole name is plastered there. How cool! Even the spelling is right! I didn't know how that guy/gal ever found my name on the net but kudos! He/She

The Lost Symbol (4.21.10)

Rating: ★★★ Category: Books Genre: Literature & Fiction Author: Dan Brown The latest from Brown, he has as I originally thought exhausted every idea he can use for science clash religion themes but here he is with his new book. Still the same characters I think, a science girl, a psyhotic killer and some intelligent old something and the fall guy who you imagined at first to be the villain. Nothing new really, but it does have the same adrenaline rush and little bits of trivia you aren't aware of (like the darth vader gargoyle in Washington National Cathedrail) down to the twist recognizable of Brown's trademark. As much as it was like the rest of Brown's novels, this I think just has too much dialogue on it. And the more you read those Ancient Mysteries in their arguments it has slowly become boring, repetitive and unbelievable. Sounds like he is picking up a fight with the religious people again with all his statements, neh? Image: http://pacejmiller.files.wordpress.c

So I was late. It was my fault to have Wilvic wait. And because of that, we have failed to come there early and fix a spot near Meganon. It is also my fault that I'm bad at directions. I've been to like 4x in Bahay ng Alumni and I still don't remember how to get there. And like tradition we missed having the AFD2 copies (2 or 3 customers tried to wait but didn't came back) and also our first one-shot, a collaboration technically between us 4 (though in credits it's just me and Wilvic), both we weren't able to sell. Sales are real down this time. I can cite the reasons why that is but I can't really write it here since I know I will offend people. Anyhow, again I've spent way too much out of my allocated budget and because of that I wasn't able to buy enough indies, just from our friends Meganon. Obviously the regulars are there, take note the former CCCom team are in one huge table so it's easier to take a group photo (which I don't have).

Kebab House - Chicken Kebab

Image
Where : Kebab House, Dasma, Cavite When : 4.04.10 Price : 40+ (rice not included) Remarks : Two things I don't get, why this doesn't look anything like what kebab should look like and why is it that you have to pay separately for the rice when you would clearly eat for lunch here. I can forgive how slow the service was but the taste wasn't anymore extraordinary. Pop even said it's just 'chicken inasal' under a different name -- but not even close.
