What is the most significant change you have seen in the world in the last 10 years?

Miss Universe 2016 Ms. Iris Mittenaere  While I could never be a Maxine Medina (heck even if I go on a super diet and spend a fortune in making me a pretty face, my height is something that's obviously a huge factor) I would like to take the challenge in answering the same question but with less stress, more time to think, and probably less judgement too! (Just imagine me like Maxine and in her voice:) (Pause.) Thank you for that question. (Smiles) The most significant change I have seen in this world for the last 10 years is cultural and society awareness and tolerance. We, now more than ever, acknowledge each and every individual's uniqueness regardless of race, orientation or belief. We embrace each other without prejudice, and encourage each other when in need. Yes, we have a long way to go before we fully achieve a world void of hate and discrimination but as a part of the minority, I am proud to say to live in a world like now where everyone of us have equal opportunities

+ Helix Bridge and the Wafer Ice Cream Guy + We got ourselves a bit lost on the way back from Vivo, going back and forth at the malls finding our way out. We eventually found it at The Shoppes, in which if my feet weren't so tired of walking the entire day we would have stopped over the marked down sales my eyes kept on seeing. Finally, the lights are on tonight. At the end of the tunnel, we found a group of people forming around a guy with a cart, and there it was wafer ice cream. It wasn't in our plans but thank goodness he was there. We could really use something sweet! Most of the flavors weren't available but we'd manage to get ourselves some before the line went longer. + Singapore Flyer + Getting the delayed flight allowed us to move our day much later than usual which provided us with enough time to add more things on the list the next day. One of which was the Flyer which we should have done the first night we arrived. Since the coaches are large, it is practic

+ Makansutra Gluttons Bay + We already got out late of the hotel so we were ready to binge. We found ourselves ordering lobster and crab, a plate of yang chow (free man tao) and mee goreng. Except for mee goreng I can't believe we finished a meal that looks like it can feed 3-4 people! [gallery ids="4419,4420,4421" type="rectangular" orderby="rand"] + Merlion + Like the lion head at Baguio, you can't possibly visit Singapore without visiting the most famous out of the 7 (or 5 if you're  to be strict about it). I love going here at night where there are not much people. What I notice is that there are still tons of Pinoys around. The helix bridge was supposed to be visited today as well but it looks like none of the lights are on. We walked towards it hoping we got it all wrong but it really was dead for that night. We just hope to see it tomorrow. + Universal Studios Singapore + Our way to the park was expensive vs. on how we got back. We found

+ Gardens by the Bay + On the map, the looks of the places of interest looked so far apart with each other I was thinking it would not give us the time to finish them all. The park is so huge it's impossible to not lose weight walking to and fro here everyday. It's also quite hot but surprisingly as Reagan noticed, we're the only ones with an umbrella. We saw one coffee shop to have breakfast but chose to go with McDonalds instead. As usual we got the big breakfast (I want this to be a thing) and this is tastier than what we had in HK even if the patty is different (we guess chicken). What's odd is how the bacon is a bit flimsy and not the crunchy ones I was used too. And!! No hot chocolate. Just Milo. And it's 3x more expensive than here (more in the plate too!). We spent SGD 20.4 in total which is roughly PHP 700 in our money. After breakfast we head on to the OCBC Skyway (SGD 8). Apparently there is a notice that they only allow around 70 people and 15 minutes of

+ Cancelled Flight! + Typhoon Nina was supposed to arrive exactly over the weekend (eve and Christmas) but took it's time and decided to do it on a Monday, which was the day of our flight. We only learnt that morning that our flight was already cancelled (haven't checked but it looks like they already announced it hours prior)  and we were scrambling on what to do. Here are the problems: The site of CebPac does not allow any rebooking. It is allowed but it looks like the only way is to call their hotline. Hotline would automatically drop around the 14-minute mark. CebPac doesn't answer to my pms. I contacted both Agoda and Strand Hotel and was able to get a much definite answer from the latter in which they could only accommodate us for movement of dates but only within the year (it's Dec 26 already). Both Reagan and I were attempting to reach them but to no avail. I was even switching to landline and mobile just to increase my chances of getting in queue. Later

Hooray! Finally, movies that are interesting to see. No more slapsticks, no more Hollywood ripoffs, no more rehashed old school hardcore drama with the same plot over and over again and best of all no more choosing over which is less cheesy. Yes. Finally. Hope they've done it sooner. I can still recall the very first movie my bf and I watched when we first dated. It was Mano Po and Shake Rattle and Roll (as to what iterations I have no idea now, both franchises are still beaten to death). We had no choice then since unfortunately, my birthday is right smack at the Hollywood break of cinemas. And although we didn't have to bear through that this year, my sisters and I gave it a go once we're available: Die Beautiful I went out of the cinema a bit torn on what to feel. I remembered laughing at a lot of the dialogues between Tricia and Barbs but unfortunately the scene that still haunts me to this day is the scene where Tricia (Paolo Ballesteros) is at his lowest. I am still
