Where have Asus Gone in Megamall?

Heavens, I love my new keyboard. I missed you so bad laptop! It was last week when I got my laptop spilled over. I was pouring water to my glass only to realize too late that I was pouring it on my keyboard instead. Boyfriend told me to put it with rice but I couldn't since what I have are red and brown rice. It would be such a waste. I did tipped it over to dry but unfortunately when I opened it a day or two later, it had important keys that weren't working. I didn't realize it at first but it wasn't until I can't get in using my password and it kept on saying it was incorrect. Ok then, my letter L doesn't work. Dang it. My sister taught me a trick of using an onboard keyboard upon login so I was able to and lo and behold a lot of keys does not work anymore. Alt Tab, numbers, letters O and P, amongst others. So for my last resort I started calling Asus. Now the problem is, their site have a number that doesn't work. I went there today looking for the

The Sto. Papa Experience

Nope I wasn't there. But sitting idly on my sofa make me realize things. Like how his smile was awfully contagious. How, in spite of rain and hours of standing people are actually waiting. For a few days, a lot of Pinoys have actually missed their telenovelas and their nonsensensical weekend rituals for a glimpse of the Santo Papa. I'm not even Catholic. And never have I intended to go but in all honesty, man, this Pope is truly charming. And for someone to charm me over the TV, that's a first. But you know what have drawn me so much in watching him when I can? He's f*cking* fearless. Not from the Phils. but probably my most favorite pic of his. He didn't notice he's wearing a rosary from what was thrown from the crowd. When he came, it was night, I was already at home and eating my pita dinner. I was right on time seeing his very white pope mobile cruising through the limited lights of our street littered by people on both sides screaming. I don

I may not be the best cook out there but I take pride in what I make. The food that I bring in the office are usually hits (my cheesy bacon potato and seafood chowder to name a few) and it is just fitting that I join in on the bandwagon of baking. My unit is not huge enough to handle an oven so I recently brought in the one I bought before for my polymer clay hobby back then. I haven't baked any clay there for a very long time so I think it's now safe to use.  My oven isn't really large, it's just an over the counter type that may be able to fit a chicken but not a full sized tray of lasagna. And since this is the first time I will bake, and I heard it's an exact science (my estimated guesses when it comes to cooking would never be in handy here) so I must follow instructions well. I also chose a very easy recipe to boost my morale with lesser room for any error.  For my first bake, there are only 4 ingredients: 1 large egg, 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of nute

PS: You are now entering... the Lightzone

I'm in a budget phase right now and even if I fell in love with Lightroom, it was just too costly for me. And my machine haven't even experienced pirated stuff (yes I use GIMP not Adobe CS6 as I wanted) ever since I had it (a good 5 years I think?) and I just can't lose that streak. So, after all the research I went through ( a good 10 or 20 minutes earlier today) I ended up downloading LightZone. It used to be a commercialized product only to become open source for cheapskates like you and me. I would have tried Darktable but I can't seem to make Linux work (after 5 minutes I gave up already so I wouldn't know if I've pushed to 10 minutes I would have succeed who knows). So let's just hope they'd release a Windows version. For now, let's use Lightzone. It's a bit like Lightroom, they have tools on the right, filters on the left. You don't need to do imports here though, just simply click on an image. I'll come clean to tell yo

It's a Wrap 2014! (12 Days Later!)

2014. Ahh. Another year of things that were new to me. It wasn't as grand as anyone else's, but for me it's an amazing feat. 1. Bacolod Who would not love Bacolod? It's exactly the place I would like to be. No beaches and plenty of food. I love it. It was also a very convenient trip since my friends who I was with are either a local or have a bf who is a local. Maybe in the near future I would have time to write my trip. The Ruins 2. Lightroom See that above? Thanks to my newly discovered photo editing app, my photos have become so dramatic I can't help but be amazed each time I edit a photo. Unfortunately, my love affair with Lightroom has cut short due to a few things that have occupied my time. I would like to buy myself a copy but it's too expensive for someone who doesn't exactly sell print. 3. Mr. Big They came back as promised! Although there are still people, it's unfortunately not as jam packed as we hoped. Neverthele
