Brasas: The Way To A Man's Heart/Stomach

Image
So one of my office mates invited us to dinner yesterday at Brasas and I was highly impressed with the food we had. That night, I invited my boyfriend to try it out. It was not hard to convince him at all, so we planned right away for a date. The original plan didn't push through though-- watch a movie before lunch because we didn't make it so we had lunch first. Served drinks are Guarapo (80) and Latin Iced Tea (60). Guarapo is that sugar cane goodness in a cup which I recommend for the experience of drinking sugar cane that is sweet but not much. Their iced tea doesn't taste powdery and what's more, no after taste, ma! Since I came here yesterday, I still have not enough of their Carne Asada Fries (120). We got that and it still does not disappoint. The sauce and meat are plentiful that one order can kick start your taste buds to Latin American food. It's like eating burrito with fries and still delicious! I got Lomo Saltado (260) because the other

Snap: Digiperm Months Later

Image
Last Sep 10, 2012, I had my hair permed. Months later, although sometimes I neglect it, and for weeks I have refrained fromm using any products, my hair looks fabulously naturally wavy. Now more than ever do I appreciate my decision to have my hair digitally permed. How to achieve the one below? Here's what to do: 1. Separate your hair into two sections or if you are being meticulous, into four. Be reminded thugh that making the section to small will be bad in you over all look that it will look so unnatural.Roll/ twist your hair towards you and let it set in that position. I have a long travel time so my hair can stay in that position while I take a nap on the bus. Refrain from holding it too much. 2. Once dried, comb your fingers (I only do this once, or if I'm not satisfied, I roll it in front of me again, and wait a few minutes to set) on the twisted hair with a hair product of your choice. I still have my Pantene Anti Frizz from last time so I still have a bottl

Valentine's at Kichitora of Tokyo

Image
Like most people yesterday, we opted for a simple dinner date at Megamall. I suggested a newly opened restaurant, Kichitora of Tokyo. Like Yabu (directly infront), they chose to dwell on one specialy--Ramen. We ordered two bowls of Special Miso Chashu Ramen (about 300++ per bowl) and gyoza (oh man I forgot the price again) which is their specialty. They have a chili version (found it at the last page of the menu) of that but Reagan the Ramen Lover tapped out to save him from a sweaty embarrasment*. Initially the waitress thought that we ordered just one Chashu Ramen (hence they offered us smaller bowls) so we still waited for our left out order. It took less than 5 minutes. Gyoza (5 pcs on a plate) is a bit on the oily side, and the flavor is not too strong for the taste. I remembered how some restaurantes smother it with spices to the point of bitterness, but this has none of it. The ramen, served in a size that is subjective to one's own appetite if to share or not. Well if you

Love.Love.Love.

With two timers prevalent nowadays, finding a couple who have stayed strong for all the right reasons are a rarity. Even movies kind of encourage this behaviour. The first time I saw this photo* I kind of choked. And who wouldn't? It's amazing to see this kind of happiness captured on film. And you know what? This kind of love is one I hope for and completely understand. *Disclaimer: Photo is not mine.

TimeSpaceApp: Manga Rock 2

Image
I used to be an anime fan back when I was younger and although it have wained big time, I still could not resist the opportunity to read manga for free. Yes for free. Manga Rock 2 offers Ipad users to enjoy translated (scanned) mangas that you can read direct from their app. Here are the things to love about it: 1. For as long as you have a connection, you can read any manga you want. 2. You can also 'download' manga directly from the app for offline reading. To 'save' more on your Ipad, you need to buy the full version. However, if you are like me who have is not updated to the latest manga titles, you will stick to the only few left that are still ongoing. One trick I learned is that after I finish an entire manga run, I delete it immediately so that I can still download a new title to read offline. 3. They update you automatically of new chapters when available. 4. Nice and responsive interface. 5. Very easy to use. 6. Ads can be easily ignored and the
