Shorties: Friendster’s move

Image
Friendster Hearing the news of the wipe out was not a surprise. Obviously the company who acquired the site has to move now and do something since obviously the hottest place to be has got to be is now, Facebook. (Almost) Every individual are now on the massive site, even promotions and companies and tv shows. Seeing this wave of people caught the attention of sites and now they’ve added an FB link for easier reposting. Furthermore, billboards and flyers have that icon now too, reinforcing the ‘need’ to join the site. I have always said before how Facebook has become Friendster X 100. And I was right wasn’t I? It enhanced the need of the commoner to be known and heard. Another similar SNS would then be Twitter, a favorite among stars. Obviously this kind of medium is a hit to them because they can easily post whatever they were doing in the moment without the press to do it for them; they can reply as quick too. And when stars love it, there’s no way everyone else won’t. Everyt

Concert: The Script: For the First Time (4.16.11)

Image
For the first time I've paid for a concert. For the first time I set foot on the actual Araneta coliseum. For the first time I've seen a celebrity (-ies) I'm s o fond of. All because of The Script.  I've only heard of the concert weeks before I've already set my budget for another concert I wanted to give as a gift to someone special (hihi!) so I was a bit disappointed to not have anticipated such expense and missed buying patron seats. I would have but I felt rushed on buying one ASAP so I bought what I can afford that time: Thank you whoever SM girl you are who informed me of a better seat (middle) Fast forward to April 16, since the concert was not until 8pm, we set the day to get ourselves busy before the big night. I won't elaborate it here. but to make it short, we were in Megamall that time when we decided to finally go to our last pit stop of the day. A quarter before 7 we were already in the MRT Ortigas Station bu

TME: Hotel Reviews: Hotel 45

Image
I forgot to ask why was it called Hotel 45, but what I do know is that there are like 2 Hotel 45s in Baguio alone, the old one at Session Road (which looked like a cheap motel) and the newer one where we stayed in.  From the main road Far from your 5 star hotel, Hotel 45 does not offer too grand of an entrance. From the door, you can easily spot the reception, on your left would be the dining area already and just a few steps   from the only available lift is the kitchen. Looked a lot like they're in China. If memory serves right, they have at least 5 floors with varying room sizes. Their   lift   has a capacity which claims to carry 11 people, although I can’t say that as true when everyone carries a humungous backpack. Our room is reasonably spacious, with one matrimonial bed, a single bed, tv (with cable), an industrial fan (?!) and its’ own restroom. There were four of us so we asked for an extra bed which later on we also requested to be provided wi

Sushi Overload at Sakae Sushi (04.02.2011)

Sushi Overload at Sakae Sushi (04.02.2011) I've heard so much about this place and I haven't had the time to even try before because they have this unlimited buffet from 2-6 which is so inconvenient. It's past last time and it's early dinner. But somehow when we decided to check it out today, I'd no idea they've lifted the curfew. Besides, the price has gone cheaper (or so I remembered) so we decided to give it a try. Oh man I really thought their Tamago would taste awesome T_T Like all who've loved eating sushi, obviously we were more than thrilled with the unlimited sushi available. We usually order by plate which can be go as much as 200++ depending on what type of sushi you're getting and where for that matter. So for 399, we've actually got ourselves a deal. Yeap that's chicken on the right. But that wasn't enough with my date so we still ordered ramen (offering good for two) and this Sakae Chawanmushi that surprised us. I
